London Zoo was started in year 1828 and opened for public in year 1847. The reptile
house was added in year 1849 and followed by the aquarium in year 1853. The insect
house was added in 1881. Currently London zoo has more than 650 species with significant
number of that are listed as threatened in Red Data books. They also conducting
breeding programs for some species.
