Chinatown Shopping, London
London Chinatown is centered around the Gerrard Street, under the Soho area.
As name implies, most of the London Chinese population is concentrated around
this area and visitors can enjoy good Chinese food and do shopping also. There
are several Chinese herbal shops also. Food lovers can get different dishes
originated from manus of various parts of China.
London’s initial Chinatown was concentrated on Limehouse area.
This area got damaged in world war 11 area bombing, but modern town had build up
in later years in this new location.
Chinese new year celebrations taken place in each year and becoming
more and more popular year by year. Roads get decorated with flags and lanterns and
dragon dances becomes popular show on those days. Chinese new year usually falls
during the months of January or February.
