Regent Street Shopping, London
The main shopping area in the Regent street located between Oxford Street
and the Piccadilly street. This length is bit less than one mile. This street
was constructed in 1811 and named after Price Regent. This area has shops selling some
expensive items with compared to Oxford street. The Regent street festival
is a famous annual event. The ceremonially lighting up of Christmas light
display is done by a celebrity.
Shoppers shouldn't forget the Liberty department store, which is one of the
oldest in the area. This is located in old 18th century building. This was
started as decorative furnishing house in year 1875 and later converted to department
store. You may notice that shops are appear in uniform order, which match with the streets historical architecture. Don't forget to visit Hamleys toy store and your
kids will be amazed its seven story toy store.
